[00:00:00] Faith is an action. Faith requires action on your part. First you must declare that
[00:00:07] you believe in God and in Jesus. Salvation is a gift God freely gives to all
[00:00:12] who repent and turn from their sins and choose to believe in Jesus. Ephesians 2
[00:00:17] 8, 4, My grace are ye saved through faith Faith is believing that you have
[00:00:23] something before you see the desired result or the thing that you were seeking.
[00:00:29] Your lifestyle should change, always striving to glorify God. Your words and your actions
[00:00:34] should line up with what God says, and you should no longer be led around by your sinful thoughts,
[00:00:39] desires, emotions or feelings. Faith requires you to trade your old sinful worldly life
[00:00:46] for a brand new life, glorifying and serving Jesus Christ.
[00:00:51] You show God that you believe Him by producing good fruit, trust, acknowledge and submit to God,
[00:00:58] and no longer lean on your own wisdom, knowledge, abilities or understanding. See Proverbs chapter 3, 5-6.
[00:01:06] Unbelief is when you choose to deny God or Jesus. Whenever you stop fully believing in God,
[00:01:15] Jesus Christ or in any of God's promises contained in God's Word, you will cause a breach
[00:01:21] or separation between yourself and God which is called sin. Romans 14-23 says,
[00:01:29] Whatsoever is not of faith is sin. It is God's desire that you continually walk an unbroken
[00:01:37] faith, never giving any entrance to sin by doubting Him. See James 1-2-8. Many people get in trouble
[00:01:44] and pride by choosing to rely on their own wisdom instead of always trusting in God,
[00:01:49] and in Jesus Christ abiding with Him. Apart from Jesus, you can do nothing. See John 15-4-10.
[00:01:58] Jesus expects that you will demonstrate your faith by your obedience to Him.
[00:02:04] Faith is essential to pleasing God. Hebrews 11-1-6. Now faith is the substance of things
[00:02:12] hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. But without faith it is impossible to please Him,
[00:02:19] for He that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently
[00:02:25] seek Him. Faith is acting on God's Word and requires you to have knowledge of God's Word.
[00:02:35] Romans 10-17 says, Then faith cometh by hearing and hearing, by the word of God.
[00:02:40] Be careful, Hosea 4-6 says, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
[00:02:47] Dilligently spend time every day pursuing God and Jesus Christ in prayer and Bible study.
[00:02:55] If you seek after and run near to God, He will draw near to you.
[00:03:02] How you approach God matters, you need to treat every encounter with God with worship and with
[00:03:07] reverence. James 4-6-8, God resisteth the proud but given grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves
[00:03:17] therefore to God. Resist the devil and He will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw
[00:03:23] near to you. Cleanse your hands, ease sinners and purify your hearts.
[00:03:29] The Christian walk is one of faith and perseverance. Glorify God by walking in love,
[00:03:36] faithfully following after Jesus in every area of your life.
[00:03:40] Demonstrate you believe God's Word is always true by hearing and acting on it.
[00:03:46] It is impossible for God to lie. Numbers 23-19, Hath He said and shall He not do it?
[00:03:54] Show that you love and glorify God by keeping His commandments. See John 14-15.
