[00:00:17] If God be for us, who can be against us? Again, I share with you about words that bring victory. I know you want to live a victorious Christian life, and it can be manifest by your words you speak that can be in harmony with God's Word.
[00:00:33] My text again is Hosea 14, 2, Take with you words and turn to the Lord. Words in the Bible are presented in awesome ability. Proverbs 18, 21, Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 21, 23, Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.
[00:01:00] So I am sharing with you about a beautiful experience I had years ago that helped shape my life to speak words that bring victory. I was in Seattle, and I had occasion to walk by a drug store where a large placard read, This is National Vitamin Week. I read it with interest. On the left column was the alphabet concerning this vitamin, and on the right side was the benefits of the particular vitamin.
[00:01:30] And as I read it letter by letter, I was really intrigued by the possibilities of vitamins. And then I went back to my room, and I got in the Bible, and I began to research to write out what I call spiritual vitamins. And it was a real delight to my heart that I addressed each of these issues. On yesterday's broadcast, I shared with you that if you feel defeated, take vitamin A.
[00:01:58] Always God calls us to triumph through Christ. And then vitamin B, when you're discouraged, will take vitamin B. Blessed with all spiritual blessing in the heavenly place in Christ. And if you are in trouble or troubled about anything, will take vitamin C, casting all your cares upon him, for he cares for you.
[00:02:24] Now, I'm not going to try to cover all 26 of these spiritual vitamins, but I just want to give you some of these that I think will be very beneficial to your life. For instance, many of you to whom I speak today struggle with a bad temper. I know you want to overcome that temper that causes so much heartache and disappointment to yourself even. Well, I've come up with this vitamin for that answer.
[00:02:52] If you have a bad, nasty temper, a temper you cannot control, well, simply take vitamin L. Love is not easily provoked. That's 1 Corinthians 13, 5. God wants to give you a victory over a rage in your spirit that explodes in a temper tantrum.
[00:03:13] God wants to give you a victory in this, regardless of your nationality, your background, or your heredity, that you can overcome that bad temper. Father, I agree with my brothers and sisters.
[00:03:27] I do not speak condemnation or guilt over them because of their bad temper, but I speak your word, Lord, that if they are filled with your love, as you have said, the love you have put in every heart of our believers, that they will overcome, Lord, these wrong factors. For your word says that the love of Christ is not easily provoked. And, Lord, we thank you for giving victory for each heart and life. In Jesus' name, thank you, Lord.
[00:03:56] Well, praise God we have victory in every area of life regardless. Now, I'd like to just address the fact about you that remembering failures. Regret is your big adversary. You continually focus on the disappointments you've had in life, how things didn't turn out like you wish they had. And you can only focus on failures. Well, God doesn't want you to do that.
[00:04:22] And I recommend you take what I call vitamin F, forgetting those things which are behind. That's Philippians 3, 13. You've got to have a sanctified forgetter, that you can forget those negative defeat circumstances that have caused failure and heartache and disappointment. So today, take a big double dose of vitamin F, forgetting those things which are behind,
[00:04:49] and pressing forward toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. How about that? That's real answers for you. So I'm giving you answers to what I have found in my own walk with the Lord. I know that all of us are aware that we're in a spiritual battle, that we have a real live adversary that's come down to bring havoc to us. And the book of Revelation, chapter 12, has a great deal of information.
[00:05:17] And one of the statements that are very positive is how we can overcome this enemy. The Bible says we overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. God wants to give you absolute victory over the attacks of that enemy, over his insinuations of your guilty, defeated, failing person.
[00:05:40] I have opportunity and occasion to counsel with hurting people who are under satanic attack. And I help them realize what their adversary is and how they can overcome. And I'm talking about words that bring victory. Well, words that overcome the devil are the words that come out of your mouth in harmony with God's word. So be sure to employ your tongue as a weapon against your adversary,
[00:06:10] that he will be overcome and you'll be the winner and will rise up to undertake whatever circumstance is. Now, when I speak about words that bring victory, let me just say that words of the truth of God's word will bring strength to you. You've perhaps heard on my broadcast or maybe you've read one of my publications where I share the great benefit of speaking Psalm 27 1.
[00:06:40] The Lord is the strength of my life. Those are words that really bring strength. I have had this, my experience, over and over again. Just simply, every day I endeavor to put my hand on my forehead and say, the Lord's the strength in my head. So I have a sound, healthy mind. A mind that focuses on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, have a good report.
[00:07:08] And I then speak this word of God against the possibility of dementia or Alzheimer's or any of the terrible mental problems that come to so many people. And God wants to give you a victory. He wants for you to speak words that will bring victory for your life. And he declares, the Lord's the strength in my mind. So today is a day of soundness of thinking.
[00:07:34] For God has not given you the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind. Now, there is so many truths about God's wonderful working. Back in that experience I had years ago down in Seattle, one of the factors I was coping with was unpaid bills at home, a lack of financial supervision for my need. And I began to speak these vitamins as it were to employ God's provision financially.
[00:08:04] And what a great delight it was to see the work of God's spirit. I've been very disturbed. And God spoke to me from this truth of Isaiah 30, 15. Quietness shall be your strength. Quietness, the holy quietness of God. And thank God I overcame that disturbed feeling about financial lack
[00:08:28] and about being down in the dumps because the situations weren't favorable back home. But praise God, I employed also vitamin U to overcome this condition of being down in the dumps. Isaiah 41, 10. One of my Old Testament favorites. Where God himself says, Fear thou not, for I am with thee. Be not dismayed, for I am thy God. I will help thee. Yea, I will strengthen thee.
[00:08:56] Yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. And I took those last words. I was upheld by the right hand of God. That was vitamin U. And I knew I could be held up by God's right hand. That I didn't have to be down in the dumps and down in defeatism. And I praise God that I learned this truth. And then another vitamin that has ministered a great deal to my life
[00:09:23] is what I call vitamin Y. Yield yourselves unto God. Now, if you are struggling over any situation, if you're struggling over marriage problems, struggling over lack of financial provision, struggling over health issues, then I want to encourage you to let God's word come forefront to your life. Simply take vitamin Y. Yield yourselves unto God.
[00:09:52] The Christian life isn't a struggle. It's not something of up and down defeatism life. It's a yielding process. Yield your mind, your thoughts. Yield your attitude. Yield yourselves unto God. This is something you do of your own initiative. God will give you grace, but you are the one who does the yielding. That is submitting to him for his wonderful working. Praise God we can have the delight
[00:10:21] of overcoming the struggles that would beset us. And God's word can give us that ability to really rise up with a great victory. I praise God that we are victors. We're overcomers. And, you know, for you that are feeling anxious. You know, here's the answer for you. I call it vitamin E. Everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving.
[00:10:49] Let your requests be made known unto God. Now, when it comes to a matter of prayer, be sure to fulfill this command. Let your requests be made known unto God. Don't just stop halfway with a few items, but just let all your requests. He says, let your requests be made known to God. You say, well, doesn't God know about them already? Yes, he does, but he wants you to tell him.
[00:11:16] Father, I pray for people, dear brothers and sisters, your family, that this day are anxious because of unmet needs. Lord, they need victory. Father, their words will bring victory to them. And they need your truth prevailing. So I pray today that each one of their own free will will let the requests be made known to you, our Father, and for your working by your Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
