[00:00:00] Today Don Gossett's message is based on Mark 11 23, Say To The Mountain. Now we don't pray to mountains of sickness, fear, financial lack, rather Jesus taught us to talk to the mountain. We'll have a special resource to help you do so at the end of today's program. But right now here's Don Gossett with Say To The Mountain. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who could be against us?
[00:00:26] Thank you, Michael Dale, for putting me on the air today. Now I'll never forget the day when the truth of speaking the Word of God over my circumstances was a real lesson to me, a revelation actually. It was first of all from Dr. E. W. Kenyon's writings. He mastered this truth in the Holy Spirit. And then I was team with T.L. Osborne. It was our coming together on the subject of speaking the Word
[00:00:53] that caused us to become teammates. And I worked as his editor. And he always emphasized to me how powerful it is to speak God's Word. And later my friend Charles Capps. And more recently, another man who has been given a revelation about power of words is Joel Osteen. I don't know Joel, I've never met him by his parents. John and Dottie Osteen were dear friends of mine. I've
[00:01:23] teamed with him for ministry. So I want to just share with you some mountain-moving facts that you can also overcome and be a triumphant Christian. Now I know there's many of you that cancer, all wicked cancer is eating away in your body. And I want to urge you to declare to that cancer
[00:01:47] that you cannot defeat me in Jesus' name. So we see this principle from the very start of the scriptures in the book of Genesis. It says the earth was without form and void. There was darkness everywhere. Isn't it interesting that things didn't change just because God's presence was there. The world didn't get better just because God thought about it. He simply, nothing happened,
[00:02:13] or God spoke the Word. He said, He declared to the darkness, let there be light. Let there be light. And think about the word, let. It indicates something was opposing. If I say, let go of my hand, it means you're holding it, or you're opposing it. God declared in the middle of the darkness, darkness. In the middle of the opposition, he said, let there be light. Now if you are in a time of
[00:02:38] difficulty where it's dark and gloomy, I want to encourage you to speak light to your situation. You must declare God's truth over your negative circumstances. And I believe it'll be a day of victory and triumph for you. You know, we're talking about mountain-moving faith. And this is what my book, What You Say Is What You Get, is all about. It's been transforming lives for years now.
[00:03:04] And so, you shouldn't talk to your problem. You should declare light in the midst of darkness. You should declare, I'm blessed. The favor of God is mine. I love this truth of Ephesians 1-3, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessing in heavenly place in Christ Jesus. Please memorize Ephesians 1-3, because it declares you are blessed.
[00:03:33] You're not cursed, you're blessed. And you can then say that I am blessed. I talk like I'm blessed. I walk like I'm blessed. I think like I'm blessed. I sing like I'm blessed. I pray like I'm blessed. Hallelujah. These are all simple affirmations, but you're a blessed person. Please accept that truth.
[00:03:57] The favor of God is turning situations around for you. God's favor is ministering to you in many ways, and thank God you can rejoice at that. So, here's what I'm saying. If you simply go on with your struggle about your health, about your financial needs, you'll discover that you're just going to come defeat after defeat. So, I want to ask you, beloved, are there mountains holding you back today?
[00:04:24] Is there something keeping you from God's best in your career, your relationship, or your health? Your mind may tell you the mountain is permanent, and that it will never change. My challenge to you is to speak to your mountains. You've prayed about it long enough. Now is the time to declare, mountain, you'd be removed from my life. You cannot defeat me. I speak favor over this situation. Remember, your mountain will respond to your voice. There's nothing more powerful than you're
[00:04:54] declaring victory over your life. You may have talked about the mountains long enough. You need to talk to the mountain. Rise up and declare to the sickness, or the strife, or the depression. Be removed. You're gone from my life. Now when you do that, you'll overcome obstacles. You'll overcome obstacles that once looked permanent. You'll accomplish dreams you thought were impossible. And so, that's
[00:05:18] why I've come along today to pray God will give you a revelation of the power of words in your lips, how you can be used by God, how the words of life and death are available to you. That's what the scripture says in Proverbs 18, 21, that death and life are in the power of the tongue. So you see, your words have creative power. Whenever you speak something, whether good or bad, you give life to that
[00:05:46] which you're saying. Too many people say negative things about themselves, about their families, about their futures. They say such things as, well, I'll never be successful. This sickness will get the best of me. Business is so slow, I don't think I'll ever make it. Flu season is coming, I'll probably catch it. They don't realize they're prophesying their future. The scripture says that we'll eat the fruit of our words. That means you'll get exactly what you've been saying. And here's the key.
[00:06:16] You've got to send your words out in the direction you want to go in life. You cannot talk defeat and expect to have victory. You can't talk lack and expect to have abundance. So it's so important that you have a great respect for the power of those words, whereby you can speak them out. So Father, grant to each listening friend, a true revelation of you by your Holy Spirit of the power of
[00:06:43] their words. That they can possess and practice mountain-moving faith that'll move mountains in Jesus' name. Praise God. So we can either speak words of life or words of death. I hear people say, well, I'm not a very good parent. Or they'll say I'm unattractive. Or a man said, I'm clumsy. Or I can't do anything right. Another man said, I'll probably get laid off. Well, these thoughts may
[00:07:11] come to your mind, but don't make the mistake of verbalizing them. The moment you speak them out, you allow them to take root. And there have been plenty of times when I've thought something against what I was about to say, but I catch myself and don't get snared by the words in my mouth. The scripture says in Proverbs 6 too, you are snared by the words of your mouth. You're taken captive by your own words. But thank God, speak his word. I'm blessed. I'm strong. I'm healthy.
[00:07:38] When you do that, you can be assured of the blessing for you. Now, I have had the delight of having faith in God for supply of financial needs. And if you ask me what has been the key of God's provision for you, well, it's simply speaking the truth of the Bible. Philippians 4 19, for instance. And I've often spoken, God, you're supplying all our needs. You're Jehovah Jireh, the Lord, our provider.
[00:08:05] It may look impossible, but I know God can do the impossible. And whenever God gives a vision, he always provides provision. Hear that please. When God gives you a vision, he always provides provision to have it fulfilled. My wife, Deborah, and I have often talked about our going to Eastern Europe for meetings. It was suddenly something thrust upon us to go to minister in Crusade Romania,
[00:08:33] Moldova, and the Ukraine. And we didn't have any money when the invitation came. It was a startling request that we would go then to do these special events of meetings in Eastern Europe. And we just boldly, fearlessly began to speak it. My God shall supply all our need. My God shall supply
[00:08:57] all our need. And praise God, every need just came, all the money for every need. And we were on the way, a great, exciting ministry throughout Eastern Europe. And we praise God for that. We had opportunity to be on a station that reached out to 16 different stations. And it was God giving us the ability. So if God has
[00:09:21] given you a vision, he will provide for you your provision. Yes, he will. I believe that. And the scripture I so often live by is Proverbs 18, 21. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. I ask you, what are you saying about your family? What are you saying about your finances? Make sure the words you're sending out is the direction you want to go in life. And let God's words prevail.
[00:09:52] Now, you may be in a difficult time right now as you hear my voice. But let me encourage you. Don't use your words to describe the bad situation. Use your words to change the situation. You can have victory each day. You can declare health and favor and abundance. So you give life to your faith by what you say. All through the day, you should go around saying, I have the favor of God. I can do all
[00:10:18] things through Christ. I'm blessed. I'm strong. I'm healthy. When you do that, my friend, you'll discover God watching over his word to perform it. And there'll be a performance of what God has spoken. Now, this is so vital. What I'm sharing with you today, that, I mean, if you get up and say, well, what a lousy day. I just don't want to go to work. I'm tired of dealing with my children. No, that's not what you do.
[00:10:43] Get up and say it. Praise God by his grace. This is going to be a great day. And something good is about to happen to you. And you, God will watch over his word to perform it. You should send your words out in the direction in your life where you want your life to go. You may have been through disappointment. A marriage relationship hasn't worked out. You haven't didn't get the promotion you're hoping for in your job. But instead of complaining by saying, well, I should have known
[00:11:10] it. I never get any good breaks. Just my luck. No, it's not dependent upon your luck, your declaration of God's word that thank God he's your provider and he's the one that gives you provision. Yes, you can have reported victory. And here's what I've learned that if you believe what you say, I believe you'll discover God's truth will be confirmed. So every day I endeavor to speak this
[00:11:37] truth that I mentioned earlier, that I'm blessed. I'm not cursed. I'm blessed. And so are you. Father, oh, my heavenly father, how I will always cherish the fact that years ago, you gave me a revelation, understanding about the power of speaking your word, Lord. The confession of faith became so precious. And Lord, you anointed me to write seven different
[00:12:06] books dealing with this subject and been so used by you. Now I pray for our listening friends, you'll touch their lives today in Jesus name, revelation to be theirs for your glory.
