[00:00:00] Today Don Gossett's message is based on Mark 1123 Say to the Mountain. Now we don't pray to mountains of sickness, fear, financial lack. Rather Jesus taught us to talk to the mountain. We'll have a special resource to help you do so at the end of today's program. But right now here's Don Gossett with Say to the Mountain.

[00:00:19] I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Thank you Mike O'Dell for putting me on the air. I'm sharing today about a wonderful truth that's been so meaningful to my life. It's about the words we speak relative to God's word.

[00:00:37] Now I've written seven books that deal with speaking directly to mountains. Mountains of fear, sickness, financial problems. And my principal book has been my book What You Say is What You Get. However I'm indebted to other men of God who have written on this subject of the power of words. First of all Dr. E. W. Kenyon. He was my first teacher on this subject by his writings.

[00:01:06] And then my associate T.L. Osborne with whom I worked in This Truth. And then there's Charles Capps. And yet more recently I've had the opportunity to read the writings of Joel Osteen. Now I have never heard Joe in public nor met him. However his parents, John and Dodie Osteen, dear friends of mine with whom I have teamed for ministry. Brother John, of course, is in heaven, but Dodie is still going strongly.

[00:01:36] I acknowledge I have also been blessed by Joel Osteen's books and I'm sharing some of his parts of his writings. And so I want to help you today to know how to say to the mountains in your life. It's so important that we understand this truth. And if you're going to live in victory, you just must have mountain-moving faith. You say we all face mountains in life. It may be your mountain is in your marriage because you don't see how you'll stay together.

[00:02:06] Maybe it's a mountain in your finances or your health or your dreams. A lot of times we pray about our mountains. Oh God, please help me. God, please make my child straighten up. God, please take away this fear from me. And yes, it's good to pray. Very good. But it's good to ask God to help you. But when you face a mountain, it's not enough to just pray. It's not enough just to believe. It's not enough just to think good thoughts. Here's the key.

[00:02:36] You have to speak to your mountain. Jesus said in Mark 11, 23, This truth, the speaking mountains, has been very real to me. And I'm grateful for that. Now, you may be praying about things you should be speaking to. You don't need to pray about fear anymore. Brother Dukins, you need to say,

[00:03:03] Fear, I command you to leave my life. I'll not allow you in my life. And if you have health problems, instead of begging God to heal you, you need to declare to that sickness, Sickness, you have no right in my body. I'm a child of the Most High God. You're not welcome here, and I'm not asking you to leave. I'm not saying pretty, please, or do me a favor. No, I'm commanding you to leave my body. I've learned if you don't talk to your mountains,

[00:03:32] your mountains will talk to you. All through the day, those negative thoughts will persist. Mountains talking to you in many areas of life. But you can sit back and believe those lies that you choose, or else you can speak God's Word and declare your authority, your rights, and thank God don't allow the mountains to talk to you. Brother, you say, Mountain, I'm saying to you, Be removed, and you just can't defeat me.

[00:04:00] It's not a coincidence that God chose a mountain to represent our problems. Mountains are big. Mountains seem permanent, as if they'll be there forever. But God says, If you speak to the mountain, you'll discover they aren't permanent. And if you have been dealing with a long-term sickness in your body, or depression, or some addiction, it may seem like nothing's going to ever change for you. But when you learn to speak words of faith,

[00:04:30] something happens in the unseen realm. Mountains tumble. The forces of darkness are defeated. The enemy trembles. Thank God what authority there is when you speak to the mountain. Now, when you declare, not in yourself the authority, but in the authority of the living Son of God, all the forces of heaven will come to your attention when you, as a child of God, speak to those mountains. Thank God the mighty armies,

[00:04:59] the unseen, most high God, will stand behind you. Let me tell you, no power can stand against our God. No sickness, no addiction, no fear, no legal trouble. When you speak and do not doubt, thank God the mountains will be removed. Who said that? Jesus himself. Let me quote it again. Mark 11, 23. And whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart,

[00:05:28] but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. Now, this is my invitation to you to join me in being a mountain mover, a mountain moving words and faith. And, you know, back in the Gospel of Mark, there's a very beautiful story. Jesus was walking through a town. He saw a fig tree and went to get something to eat,

[00:05:56] but the tree didn't have any fruit on it. Jesus looked at that tree and said, You'll not produce fruit anymore. Notice, Jesus talked to a tree, and people of faith talked to their obstacles. Jesus walked away. It didn't look like anything had happened. The tree was just as green and healthy as it was before. And perhaps some of the disciples whispered, It didn't work. Jesus must have lost his touch because he said for it to die, but it didn't die.

[00:06:26] Well, of course, you know the rest of the story. In Mark chapter 11, what happened when Jesus and disciples came back by. And when they went through the town a little later, the disciples stood there in amazement. They saw the tree had withered up totally dead. In the same way, the moment you speak to your mountains, beloved, something will happen for you in the unseen realm. You may not see it visibly at that point, but you can know that the moment Jesus speaks and the moment we speak,

[00:06:56] the forces of heaven go to work. God dispatches angels. God fights our battles for us. He releases favor. He moves the wrong people out of the way and sending healing. He sends breakthrough, sends victory. As we dare to speak God's word. Now, you may not see what God has done for some time after you speak to the mountain. That mountain may look just as big and permanent and strong as it was before. But if you'll stay in faith

[00:07:26] and just keep speaking to the mountain, declaring it gone, declaring yourself healthy, blessed, and victorious, one day all of a sudden you'll see that mountain has been removed. Yes, you will. For God will supernaturally do for you what you could not do for yourself. And he will move the mountains as you boldly take your stand. Now, I want to emphasize again, there is a time to pray. There is a time to speak. But you don't pray about your mountains.

[00:07:55] You speak to your mountains. You declare they must go. Jesus didn't pray about the fig tree. He didn't say, well, I believe it won't produce any fruit. He commanded not to produce fruit. And we should declare that our mountains must be moved. Whether it's sickness, depression, strife, financial lack, division in your family, dare to say to each mountain, be removed and you'll have what you say. Here's the key. Your mountains respond to your voice.

[00:08:25] You can speak faith over your life all day long. When I get up in the morning, I always begin speaking God's word. This is the day the Lord has made. I'll rejoice and be glad in it. Or I say, if God be for us, who can be against us? Or greater is he that's in us than he that's in the world, that my Father shall supply all my need. And on I speak those truths. And I know that the mountains must respond to what I'm speaking.

[00:08:52] Now, you may have friends who will build you up with their teaching of the scriptures. And you can put on good music. They'll encourage and inspire you. And all that's important. And that's all good. But your mountain will respond only to your voice. When you rise up in faith and declare sickness, addiction, depression, leave my life. In the name of Jesus, you've got to go. The forces of heaven come to your attention.

[00:09:20] David spoke to his mountain like there was an enemy. He looked to Goliath in the eye. And he spoke the authority of God over that giant by great encouragement. And I would say, while Goliath bragged about his sword and shield, David simply said, I come to you in the name of the Lord God of Israel. And he declared to this mountain, Goliath, this day the Lord will deliver you into my hands.

[00:09:50] I will defeat you and feed your head to the birds of the air. Well, David was saying, Goliath, you may be big, but I know my God is bigger. And when I speak to the mountain, God has promised it will be removed. Now, you may feel there are too many obstacles between you and the God-given dream. You're standing exactly where David stood. It's not enough to just pray about it. It's not enough just to believe that you're going to get better.

[00:10:18] Now is the time for you to declare mountain of debt, mountain of sickness, mountain of addiction, mountain of depression, mountain of fear. You can look them right in the eye and speak with great authority that God's liberation is yours. And this will be reality. So I love this truth of mountain-moving words, mountain-moving faith.

[00:10:44] That's how I wrote my never-again list that has been a faith builder to me over and over thousands of times through the years and other truths of God's word. And that's why we're offering you my book, What You Say is What You Get. It has transformed more lives than anything I've ever been privileged to write. And we want to have it available to you. And Michael Dill will tell you how you can get this particular book and be a blessing to your life.

[00:11:13] So this is Don Gossett speaking to you about mountains in your life. And just they boldly declare, mountain be removed. There's incredible power release when you speak to your mountain. But all too many times we talk to God about how big our mountains are, when we should be talking to the mountains about how big our God is. The more you talk about the mountain, the weaker it makes you feel.

[00:11:39] And you may say, well, the sickness or the legal problems or my marriage troubles are not getting any better. Well, when you talk like that, all it's doing is making you weaker in faith and energy. So quit talking about the mountain and start talking to the mountain. Declare those words of God. Declare to the cancer in Jesus' name, the provision, God's overcoming poverty.

[00:12:07] Father, I thank you for this simple truth. Lord, it's been so profound. And I thank you that you have given this revelation, Lord, to Brother Kenyon and Brother Osborne and Charles Capps and now to Joel Osteen. Thank you for this. And I pray you'll bless every listening friend. In Jesus' name, amen. Hallelujah. That's the time to praise the Lord with me. And let's say praise you, Lord, ten times. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord.

[00:12:37] Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Our gift offer is Don's best-selling book, What You Say Is What You Get. It's a teaching book on the importance of speaking to mountains.
