I've been sharing with you Keys to Financial Provision
[00:00:26] and in my past broadcasts I've shared about the principle of speaking God's word over your finances. I would suggest you lay all your bills on a table and speak over them in Jesus' name for God's wonderful provision. But I want to share with you another principle that I have discovered. I want to share a principle that creates miracles for me and can do the same for you. And the principle I'm speaking of is tithing.
[00:00:53] Tithing is perhaps the best kept prosperity secret in existence. It's an old Bible secret that works today, yet has been neglected by many. Now tithing is a relationship reminder between us and the Lord, acknowledging that He truly owns it all. He has commanded that we return tithes and offerings to Him. In return, He rebukes the devourer for our sakes, opens heaven's windows, and pours out overflowing blessings.
[00:01:21] These open heaven blessings include communication with our Heavenly Father, and we can be delighted by what He does as we endeavor to keep His covenant. Now when we don't think like God thinks about money, however, tithing can be a sensitive subject. Ministers, for the most part, are afraid to speak about tithing for fear of alienating their congregation.
[00:01:45] The reason many ministers are ashamed to ask for tithes is because they neither believe God's word on the subject, nor practice this principle so they cannot speak about it with conviction and testimonies from their own experience. But my own understanding and experience in this way is that miracles never cease to amaze me. I frankly expect miracles, and their consistent arrival is always delightful to experience.
[00:02:14] God said that on earth there will always be a seed time and harvest. Genesis 8-22 The seed time is a tithing time. Paul said of this eternal law of sowing and reaping in Galatians 6-7, Be not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatsoever man soweth that shall he also reap. If you give with confidence that you'll receive a Bible-promised blessing, I believe a multiplied return can be your portion.
[00:02:41] Now as a tither, you automatically become solution-oriented rather than focused on problems. Your heart becomes fixed trusting the Lord. Let me tell you about a Christian brother named Chip. He was down to his last 35 cents. He had a wife and baby to feed and no hope of earning any money. With tears in his eyes, Chip started beating on the steering wheel in his car, saying, God, what should I do?
[00:03:10] Well, God's word arose in his heart and reminded him to give to the Lord. And he figured that the 35 cents that he had would not even buy milk for his baby, so he immediately went to a church and prayerfully put the 35 cents into an offering plate. As he walked out of that church, the Holy Spirit told him to solicit a job at a nearby office.
[00:03:33] He did and was hired and was prepaid $200, which saved his family from starvation, lack, and limitation. Chip also reestablished his self-esteem as a good provider, and he has since become a disciplined and committed tither ever since that experience. Now, your needs and mine exist to be met, not to intimidate, embarrass, or harass us.
[00:04:00] The guarantee that God is your source is in Philippians 4.19. My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. You see, Jesus demonstrated what we should do through giving our best unto him and giving according to his own pattern. And it'll be a lifestyle that you'll never regret.
[00:04:24] Now, personally, in my own family, speaking Philippians 4.19, coupled with practice tithing, have been the keys to financial provision. And I think they'll be very helpful and efficacious for you. And for me and my household, those are two principles which we have seen the Lord's provision. And I praise him for that. Now, note what you receive is not multiplied, but only what you give is multiplied.
[00:04:52] Luke 6.38, Jesus said, I'm grateful for the truth about tithing that has been so meaningful to my life. And I want to answer some questions right here. Question number one, are there bonuses to tithing?
[00:05:20] Well, most tithers are surprised to discover their remaining 90% goes further and farther and does more than the original 100% ever did. They also discover that their spiritual lives deepen, become enriched and are more enlightened. For tithing gives a wise and faithful servant expanded opportunities that are a direct consequence of tithing.
[00:05:45] And those who tithe know from experience that their desires are often fulfilled in their life overflowing with blessing. And their income is forever increasing. Now, the second question I want to answer, My husband was laid off and we barely have enough to live on, much less to pay bills. Should we tithe? Should we tithe? Well, of course, to overcome lack consciousness and enter into prosperity, you absolutely need to tithe.
[00:06:14] Tithing is an action of worship and confidence in the Lord. When it seems like you have nothing, we give something. God's a covenant keeping God and simply ask you to do your part in obedience to his promise. Now, poverty, what a horrible word. Poverty is a disease. It leads to misery, depression, theft and suicides. God created this abundant world with his word. He gives us human beings similar creative word power.
[00:06:43] If you speak his word with your lips in agreement to pay your bills, get employment and total enjoyment, I believe it will become reality. I wrote a book called What You Say is What You Get to help many people learn how to speak to mountains of debt and unemployment and to see those financial mountains removed. If this is based on the words of Jesus in Mark 11, 23,
[00:07:08] Whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says should come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. Now, here's my third question. How important is the spirit of giving? My reply, the spirit of giving means everything. A gift given with the attitude of gratitude, given in the name of Jesus with a spirit of expectancy, always results in a boundless return.
[00:07:38] Money in itself is neutral, neither good nor bad. Remember, God is our source, not money. Speak his word, not your problem. Question number four I want to answer, what happens if I tithe? Well, in the light of this message you're listening to today, it's not if you give, but when you give. The word of God states that one should set out to give 10% to the service of God. This should be given for the sake of giving, not for the sake of getting.
[00:08:07] It's important to do it because it's honoring the Lord Jesus with the first fruits of your increase. Now, question number five. Should I wait until the recession is over to start tithing? Well, to end your personal recession, start tithing at once, using whatever resources you have right here and now. Tithing will facilitate the improvement of your situation and circumstances.
[00:08:32] Note that the greater your need, the more important it is to start tithing immediately. And one more question I have here. Should I make tithing a lifelong habit? Absolutely, yes. The first 10% belongs to God and practice tithers would never think of taking any of it. They live intelligently in the tithing principle and receive untold blessings, benefits and protection. They are devoted to giving and receive multiple returns.
[00:09:01] If you show me a person having financial difficulties, I'll show you a non-tither. We either believe the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want, or we don't believe it. I want to say I really believe it, that the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. And I give you this guideline. Give to the ministry that serves you, or that you feel greatly serves others.
[00:09:25] Make sure your choice in ministry has great plans to do phenomenal amounts of good in the benefit and to the benefit of all humanity. And I say it gratefully that Bold Bible Living is a ministry that has a vision to reach and touch the nations. Winning the lost, healing the sick, teaching the word. And when you are giving, you're living. When you're caring, you're sharing all the good God has given to you.

Now, a Christian brother named John says, There are winners and losers. Winners are givers and losers are takers. And this man John chose to be a winner, and he now gives 30% of his gross income to the Lord's work. Malachi 3.8 speaks of tithes and offerings.
[00:10:22] A tithe is 10%, and an offering goes beyond that. A tithe is not a debt we owe, but a seed we sow. And I challenge you to let God's word prevail. Now, in this area of financial provision, I want you to know that these are some of the keys I'm sharing with you. The first key we've emphasized is the importance of believing and speaking God's holy word. For God watches over his word to perform it. He says,
[00:11:01] So I challenge you, if you're not a practicing tither, to put God to the test. He says, You're not buying anything from God. You're simply cooperating with him and his wonderful blueprint for our provision, for our success financially.
[00:11:28] Heavenly Father, I thank you for the truths of your word, for which we walk and live in this Christian life. I thank you, Lord, for the truth of speaking of the word. But I thank you also for the truth of godly tithing, of giving the first 10% of our income, of our gross income to you, Lord, and thereby assuring that you open heaven's windows. You pour out overflowing blessings. You rebuke the devourer for our sakes.
[00:11:57] And we are indeed delightsome, saith the Lord. Thank you, Father, for these truths. I pray that each person listening today shall embrace them and let your word prevail. In Jesus' name, amen. And now, my beloved friend, I invite you to participate with me in this action of adoration to our wonderful Savior. He's a Savior from sin. He's a Savior from sickness. He's a Savior from fear.
[00:12:25] He's also a Savior from financial defeat and lack as our provider. Let's praise him together. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord.
