[00:00:00] I want to continue to share with you how you are called upon by Jesus to give from within your heart. We don't give theories, we don't give just little endless ideas, but we give the truth of God's Word. That's what will solve the dilemmas of life, that will enable people to rise up and be overcomers. So I've come along to share with you again these principles of giving from within.
[00:00:24] I can never forget when the truth of Psalm 27-1 opened up to me. It was a time when great testing came to my family, and I made reference to it in days past about how my first dear wife Joyce was stricken with rheumatic fever. It was a horrible condition, her body, in a time of great testing.
[00:00:48] And I prayed earnestly for God to help, and month after month went by with her getting continuously worse and worse. And then the Lord spoke to me, give to her today Psalm 27-1. And I said, here's the answer for your rheumatic fever problem. The Lord is the strength of your life. And she began to arise from her bed of suffering, and began to speak that word.
[00:01:16] It was a real triumph. And so this truth has continued to be a source of ministry to my own heart. And I want to minister this truth to you today. That the Lord himself is the strength of your mind, so today you think sound, healthy thoughts. You think upon those things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of a good report. A strong mind is a positive mind, the mind of Christ.
[00:01:43] You have the mind of Christ, 1 Corinthians 2-16 declares. So this is what might challenge you today, is just to realize the Lord himself is the strength of your mind. He says in Philippians 4, Whatsoever things are true, honest, just, lovely, pure, and of a good report, think on those things. Where the Lord wants to minister to your mind. And Paul wrote it by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, that you have the mind of Christ.
[00:02:13] We have the mind of Christ. So I want you to do this, please. Put your hand on your forehead. And right now, just let me agree with you. Father, I pray for every person who this day needs the manifestation of a sound mind. We speak against spirits of infirmity, of dementia, of Alzheimer's disease.
[00:02:36] Never again to be a victim of these foul conditions that destroy the mental faculties. I speak against dementia. I speak against Alzheimer's. Not in my name, but in the name of Jesus Christ. And I praise you, Lord, for the quickening of minds. And Lord, giving insight and understanding. Thank you, Lord, that you are the strength of our minds today. And I give you praise for it in Jesus' name.
[00:03:04] And then the Lord wants me to strengthen your ears. I mean, not only to have good physical hearing, but especially to be able to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, My sheep know my voice. And a stranger they will not follow. To be able to listen to God and hear his voice. Seven times in the book of Revelation in chapters 2 and 3, The command comes, He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith.
[00:03:34] Now, God wants to be the strength of your ears. He wants to be able to give you good sound hearing. And I thank God that he often is pleased to give us technical help in this matter. But I'm talking about the ability of the Holy Spirit to administer strength to your hearing. But most important, to hear the voice of the Lord. To be able to hear his voice.
[00:04:00] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith. To be able to hear what the Word of God said by the Holy Spirit. And this is so important. Remember, the Holy Spirit never speaks anything out of harmony with God's Word. The truth is that God wants me to strengthen your ears spiritually. To be able to hear his voice. I have been acquainted with many people who have been able to hear the voice of the Lord.
[00:04:29] And I'm grateful that many times in my own walk with the Lord, I've been able to hear his voice when he's given direction. And he will speak this truth to our hearts. So today I speak for you. Put your hand on your right ear and say, The Lord's a strength in my ears. So I hear well today. Simply speak it. The Lord's a strength in my ears today. Praise the Lord. And let him minister this truth to you.
[00:04:58] And for you that need the Lord to touch your eyes. Well, I believe this is a spiritual manifestation too. That God can so quicken our eyes. That spiritually we'll be able to see others through eyes of love, kindness and goodwill. Then we see those people who are eccentric. We don't judge them or criticize them. We're those people that are difficult to get along with.
[00:05:23] We learn to see them through eyes of love, even kindness and goodwill. And the Lord wants to be the strength of your eyes physically. To give sight. Give better sight. Now I thank God that he uses glasses. I mean, when I say God uses them, it's a part of the technical skills he's given to mankind to be able to employ glasses as a increase of vision. But the Lord himself wants to touch your eyes today.
[00:05:53] Especially your spiritual eyes to be able to see others through this manifestation of his grace. Father, I thank you today that you are the strength of our eyes. And I pray for every person who is having difficulty in their vision. That you will touch their eyes today, Lord, even supernaturally. To manifest your healing of eyes in Jesus name. And Lord, I pray you'll touch our eyes.
[00:06:20] That as a spiritual dimension, we can be able to see others through eyes of love, kindness and goodwill. I thank you in Jesus name. Now, of all of our faculties or members of our body, perhaps the one we need strength most of all is these mouths of ours, our tongues, our speaking apparatus. For if you look back on your life, most of your problems have been tongue troubles.
[00:06:47] And the Bible says in Psalm 21, 23, Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles. God has promised us a saved life. He's promised us a spirit-filled life. He's promised us a healed life. But he also promises a troubled free life if we'll simply take control of our tongues by his grace. So he's a he that will learn to speak this way. He will save his soul from troubles.
[00:07:17] So today I want to pray for you. And now I could say, people put your hand on your mouth. And I could say that may be a good place to keep your hand because your mouth can get you in so much trouble. And yet we are commanded in the scripture to speak those words that are edifying, ministering grace to those who hear us. Ephesians 4, 29. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth. But that which is good, the use of edifying, minister grace to the hearers.
[00:07:46] In Isaiah chapter 50, verse 4, The Lord has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary. He waketh morning by morning. He waketh my ear to hear as the learned. And if you let this word prevail, then you'll refrain from speaking those words that are negative, destructive, corrupt, critical, harsh or unkind.
[00:08:11] What a great victory it is when we allow the Lord to give us mastery over our unruly tongues. The tongue that is the source of so much conflict. And the Lord today wants to be the strength of your heart. I'm grateful that the Lord does minister to our hearts. Now, heart problems are the cause of more deaths in the world today than any other condition. Heart disease and heart failure.
[00:08:41] And God is really concerned about this. And I've had to depend upon him in crisis in my life to quicken my mind and my mind, but also my heart. And he wants to do the same for you today. So let's agree. Heavenly Father, I pray for every person who is looking to you to receive a good sound heartbeat for this day. Lord, be the strength of their physical heart. As long as they serve you on this earth. Yea, for 70 years, your word says.
[00:09:10] And by reason of strength, 80 years or more. I pray, Lord, that you'll quicken hearts today. That the heart will function normally. And administer grace in Jesus' name. I thank you, Lord. Amen. Well, I'm sharing with you. I put these truths all down in a card called, The Lord's the Strength of My Life. And it's been used by God to help so many people. And I would like to send you a copy of it. Simply request it.
[00:09:40] The Lord's the Strength of My Life. And this card can become a discipline to your life that will help you immensely. Now, on this broadcast, I've shared with you how God is using our ministry over in Africa. And I particularly shared a testimony from a man in Uganda. He said, Your radio program has shone light into my heart and has driven out the darkness that has been living in me for many years.
[00:10:07] Thank you for bringing spiritual food to my table. Isn't that a delightful testimony? That's what the light of the gospel does. It comes in and drives out the darkness. The darkness of sin. The darkness of fear. The darkness of inability. And God wants to do the same for you. I would ask you to be a partner with me as we continue to reach people all over the world with the gospel of Christ.
[00:10:34] And you can send your letter to the mailing addresses that we give you. Thank you for your investment, for your caring and sharing. And may the Lord bless you abundantly.
[00:11:03] Now, we climax these truths of God's word by sharing with you the action faith point when we come down to the time of saying praise the Lord ten times. This has been the source of so much blessing. And I often have referred to the words of my friend, Dr. John Bissagno of Houston, Texas. He's pastor of the 15,000 member First Baptist Church.
[00:11:29] And he wrote these words, sit down with at least two other people and slowly say praise the Lord ten times. If you don't have a smile on your face by the end of that, you'll probably never smile anything. It's impossible to say praise the Lord and frown. Try it, it just won't come out. Thank you, Dr. Bissagno for that good word. And now join me as you and I put this into action. Praise the Lord
[00:12:12] Hallelujah! Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah.
