[00:00:00] Welcome to Bold Bible Living with Don Gossett. The words of Jesus, in today's language, tells us, go into the world and preach the gospel to every nation. And Don has been doing that for many years. At the end of today's broadcast we will tell you how you can partner with Don in winning the lost for Christ. And now here's friend, radio teacher, and world evangelist, Don Gossett. I have been sharing this series about giving from within, the importance of what's within
[00:00:29] your heart is what you can give out that will be a blessing to others. It's not theories, it's not just ideas, it's God's Word. And I have begun to share with you about the most revolutionary experience in my life that happened years ago, back when I was confronted with great financial lack. I can never forget it. It all began one night in the little motel unit we had in Victoria,
[00:00:55] where I was unable to pay the weekly rent for that little unit, only $30 a week, but I didn't have that $30. And I was facing great embarrassment to have to meet the manager to tell him, I'm sorry, I don't have the money to pay the rent. Can I wait and pay you twice or double the amount next week to make up for this lack? And the guy was gracious enough to accommodate my request and
[00:01:21] my family wasn't left out on the street. They stayed there. But as I was driving from Victoria down to Longview, Washington, where I had been in meetings, I was in those continual meetings that lasted five long weeks. Those were the days when meetings just didn't exist for one or two nights, they went weeks at a time as God was pouring out his spirit. And God was meeting me in those days.
[00:01:47] And what happened to me during that time that enabled me to continue to be used by the Lord for five weeks was that driving back to Longview, God visited my heart. When I asked him the question, Lord, why is it that I continually have lack as my master? I continually am embarrassed by the inability to provide adequately for my family. Lord, what is the problem? I know it's not with you, Lord,
[00:02:17] it's with me. But I really don't know what the problem is. So if you'll show it to me, I'll endeavor to correct it. And God, who was very gracious, began to speak to my spirit. It was not an audible voice. It was that inner voice of the Holy Spirit to my heart. And he gave me Amos 3.3 as one of the foundation truths. How can two walk together except they be
[00:02:42] agreed? How could I walk with God in his provision and disagree with God? And so it became a great discipline in my heart. I confess the fact that I had been speaking while I can't do. I've been focusing on my lack of money and my financial difficulties. I've been talking to others about
[00:03:05] my fear of the financial dilemma I was in. And I would say, well, I somehow just don't have enough faith for God's financial provision for my life. So what am I going to do? And I began to consider myself obviously a weak type of Christian rather than a strong in the Lord. And I would talk about how the devil was running roughshod over us and causing us continual financial failure and embarrassment.
[00:03:34] I would tell people that I was just a defeated guy, that I couldn't somehow rise above my sense of financial lack. And I would talk about, I say, the domination of oppression upon my life in every form, spiritually, physically, and financially. And then I would focus on my worries and frustration.
[00:03:57] I would continually talk about them. And then I would somehow realize that I was in bondage and I needed to be free, that I was a slave of the devil on the financial arena. And then I would feel myself so under guilt and condemnation. Well, I wrote down 12 affirmations of God's word that changed it all. I want to share with you right here, all 12 of them at one sitting, and then I will
[00:04:26] enlarge in some of these truths. Never again will I confess I can't, for I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. What a source of delight that truth became. I had so long talked about what I can't do. I can't pay my bills on time. I can't provide for my family. I can't do this or that. But then
[00:04:50] I changed my vocabulary to one of agreeing with God. I began to say it, I can do all things through Christ. He's the one who strengthens me. It was not a victory of my right arm was strong or my mind was mentally sharp or something else. It was simply the truth of God's word that I can do all things through
[00:05:14] Christ. He's my source. He's my life. He's my strength. And that truth began to revolutionize my life personally. And then I began to address that subject of lack of money, of financial inadequacy by this truth that never again will I confess lack. For my God shall supply all my need according
[00:05:37] to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I learned I would take a stack of unpaid bills and I would lay them out on a table and I would say, bills, you're going to be paid. My God shall supply the need and the money shall come and I'll be able to pay all these bills and overcome the financial embarrassment I've known. And thank God it really happened. Reality became very manifest and that's
[00:06:03] what I can share with you that are in financial straits to know this is the truth of God that can and will prevail for you. This has been the truth that has ministered to my heart repeatedly. God's provision, God's supply. And then I wrote down never again will I confess fear. Oh, tormenting fear, soul-searing fear, fear of the future, fear of what might come upon my life and my family.
[00:06:30] But then I affirm God's word on this subject. God hath not given me the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind. How much better is God's power, love and a sound mind than any spirit of fear that's so oppressive. I praise God for liberation from fear. And then I would talk about never again will I confess doubt and lack of faith. I no longer regarded myself as a doubter.
[00:06:59] God says in Galatians, pardon me, in Hebrews, that we're members of the household of faith. Where he says in Galatians that we therefore have opportunity. Let's do good to all men, to them who are the household of faith. You're a part of a household of faith, beloved. Dear one, please regard yourself as a faith person, not as a doubter, not as a person who revels in unbelief, but speak his word.
[00:07:26] And then I would focus on this truth that never again will I confess weakness. For the Lord himself is a strength of my life. And the people who know their God should be strong and do exploits. Those are two scriptures I've put on this never again list to explain what it means, that why we don't have to give place to our weakness, because we have the Lord himself as our strength,
[00:07:53] as our sufficiency. And he says the people that know their God shall what? The people know their God shall be weak. No, the people know their God should be defeated. No, the people that know their God should be under the domination of the devil. No, the people that know their God should be controlled and dominated by lack. No, the people that know their God should be strong and do exploits. And that's you. And that's me. And then I began to speak it. Never again will I confess this supremacy
[00:08:23] of Satan over my life. I know there's a wicked devil in the world. I know we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against spiritual wickedness in high places. I know there's a real life adversary who is doing his utmost to try to bring us down into oppression and defeat. But praise God, I had a wonderful liberation when I no longer talked about the devil's
[00:08:48] dominion over my life. But I began to affirm the truth of 1 John 4, 4, that greater is he that's in me than he that is in the world. And these were truths that I was speaking out of my heart in reality, that never again will I confess defeat. You know, when you were born again, you were not born to be defeated. You were born to be more than a conqueror through Christ. When you became a Christian, God
[00:09:12] doesn't write up on you, well, he's just one of those defeated ones. No, he says that he causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus. That's 2 Corinthians 2, 14. And on the subject of wisdom, there were times that I more or less regarded myself as a dummy, that I didn't have the ability to make good decisions. And I didn't have the mental faculties to be able to face life's problems with ability. But then I began
[00:09:42] to speak it, that never again will I confess lack of wisdom. Why? 1 Corinthians 1, 30 reveals it. Christ Jesus is made unto me wisdom from God. He's your wisdom, beloved. Oh, dear one today, take this word to heart. The Lord Jesus Christ became not only your savior from sin and hell, not only the healer of your physical body, not only your deliverer from every oppression,
[00:10:09] not only the baptizer in the Holy Ghost and fire, but he became your wisdom. Christ Jesus is made unto us wisdom from God. And that means that you can make good decisions. You can have the ability to cope with the problems of life by the wisdom of the Lord. And that's, that became a tremendous truth to my life.
[00:10:31] And I'm so grateful that he's still our wisdom. And then I have come many times with the, the challenge of these physical bodies. I know that God often is pleased to use medical science to solve some of our ills in our body. And I honor and respect the work of medical science. I had a dear cousin who was a medical doctor,
[00:10:56] and he and I spent a considerable time discussing the issues. And he was committed to practice medical science to help people. And I told him that I had employed the principles of the word of God to help people receive. And the results have been quite remarkable for the Bible says that with his stripes, we are healed. The Bible says Jesus himself took our infirmities and bear our sicknesses. So this is my challenge to you
[00:11:25] to let this word of God be your domination of every spirit of infirmity, of every oppression upon your life and overcome. Now, I want to have a special prayer for you that you're talking about your worries and frustrations. We're going to obey 1 Peter 5, 7, casting all our cares upon him who really cares for us.
[00:11:49] And then you'll be able to say it, in Christ, I'm carefree, free of domination by worries and frustrations. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to you as humble as I know how. In behalf of every listening friend, the dear ones who are listening into this program to get your word, I pray today for them, Lord, that you will help them to cast their cares all upon you,
[00:12:16] that they will be free from their frustrations and rise up and overcome in the name of Jesus Christ. I thank you, Lord, for freedom, that they can now be carefree today. In Jesus' name, amen. Well, what a delight it is to share with you from within the principles of God's word that have prevailed for me in many circumstances. And if you'd like to have a gift copy of my Never Again list,
[00:12:45] it can be so valuable to you as it has been to me, and you can request it by writing to me. And now, will you join me, please, as you and I look unto Jesus. Oh, people, let's give him the best praise we can today, and join me as we say, praise you, Lord. And let's say it 10 times together.
[00:13:04] Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. Hallelujah.
