[00:00:00] Welcome to Bold Bible Missions with Don Gossett and today's message Giant Language. Let's join Don as he shares the scriptural truths of giant faith through giant language. My publisher Whitaker House has recently enlarged my book There's Dynamite in Praise from a paper-sized book to a trade size. It's very attractive in this enlarged edition. When you request this newly enlarged book there's dynamite in praise.

[00:00:27] Mike O'Dell will give you our mailing addresses but now I want to share with you about when I learned giant language. I say David didn't look like a giant but he talked like one. And I learned giant language years ago when I had gone through adversity of the worst sort. We had lost our home and five rooms of furniture by repossession.

[00:00:54] We were out on the street. There was no place to call home. And for 14 months my wife and five children and I lived out of suitcases. And it was a challenging event and how we would often have to sleep in our old Buick to go from place to place. I say the going was tough but thank God by his grace he enabled us to overcome. We gave no place for pity parties.

[00:01:22] And then it was then that God began to speak to me about how I must change my words of failure, defeat, frustration and I must let God's word prevail. One of the words that I began to employ was voice your choice. And I took this directive that I would speak God's word. And the Bible says how forcible are right words. Job 6.25

[00:01:50] The Lord taught me that from his word how to move the mountains of fear, defeat, lack and the devices of the devil. He gave me victory visions and how my speech must be in harmony with the Bible. And I began to reap bountiful blessings through a bountiful speech habit of speaking God's word, not my problem.

[00:02:16] And thank God I will always rejoice in how it was moving into a grand world of God's provision when I learned that I could speak giant language, the language of the word. And I praise God. I say giant language is Bible language.

[00:02:35] Charles Spurgeon said it's blessed to somehow just rest in the very soul of God's word until you come to the place. You talk scriptural language and your spirit is flavored with the word of the Lord. And you overcome that your blood is Bible blood, as it were the very essence of the Bible. Well, thank you, Charles Spurgeon for that good word.

[00:03:03] I have purchased years ago a classic book entitled The Kneeling Christian. It's written by the man who only identifies himself as the unknown Christian author. After powerful reading of this effective book on prayer through 10 instructive chapters, I came to chapter 11 in this book, The Kneeling Christian. And he wrote, Praise is important as prayer.

[00:03:32] We must enter into his gates with thanksgiving and to his courts with praise. Praise unto the Lord and bless his name. At one time in his life, praying high was led to ask for four souls a day to be brought into the fold by his ministry.

[00:03:50] If any one day that number fell short of four souls being saved, that would be such a weight upon his heart that he would feel just very painful. And he would neither eat nor sleep until he could get that prayer answered. And he would ask the Lord what was the obstacle of his inability to win four souls that day.

[00:04:41] And he said, That's not an accident. That we so often in life rejoice in the Lord only when things are going great. But God does not want us to be miserable children of this world. But he wants us to overcome any misery. For Paul, the most powerful man of preaching truth, was a man of song, a man of praise. And we can follow the same example of the Apostle Paul.

[00:05:10] Even as how he could praise the Lord in prison. Some of his greatest praise words were written in prison. And God wants you and me, regardless of our negative circumstance, to rise up and have that giant language of praise. And I appreciate so much these words of the kneeling Christian. That's the name. The man always identified himself in no other name. Well, then it came the time.

[00:05:40] He goes on to say that nothing so pleases God as our praises. And nothing so blesses the man who praises the Lord. For he says, Delight yourself also in the Lord. And he'll give you the desires of your heart. Yes, it's the desires of our heart. And he would ask the question here, Do we praise enough to get our prayers answered? And this man, the unknown Christian author, also would write,

[00:06:10] We need to simply call out to God, My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. And then he continued writing, Can we catch the spirit of the psalmist and say, Bless the Lord, O my soul, And all that's within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits, Who forgives all our iniquities, Who heals all our diseases,

[00:06:40] Who redeems our life from destruction. Yes, this is very great, To be clothed with honor and majesty to praise the Lord. And so the kneeling Christian asked this question, What shall we learn that God wants from us? Well, the Bible says we are to simply worship him with adoration and praise. And this is the giant language of praise that I'm endeavoring to administer to you.

[00:07:10] So this is the scripture that I have lived by. Psalm 50, 23, Whoso offereth praise glorifies me, And to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I show my salvation. Yes, praise and worshiping. Thank God, they're the wonderful truths that enable us to have God's best.

[00:07:33] And I think these are excellent words written by this man who is known as the kneeling Christian, That God wants us to be people of praise and rejoice in his mercy. So this is my encouragement to you. Let the Lord give you the giving heart. Jesus said, Freely you have received, freely give. Have you discovered this fact that the more you give, the more you want to give,

[00:08:03] And that you will give? Yes, thank God. This giving heart is the giant language of our expression in our giving. And the Lord asked us to give 10% of our increase. And I ask this question, Is 10% of what God has given you too much to ask for the work that you claim as a Christian to be the most important thing in the earth?

[00:08:31] So I say try tithing for one year and see the miracle of it all. And again, the Bible gives this wonderful word, Cast thy bread upon the water, for thou shalt find it after many days. So you just forget about knowing the results and attend to the sowing. And you'll be rewarded, as it were, because God says, If you sow bountifully, you'll reap bountifully.

[00:08:58] And this is the truth of the scripture that's been so significant in my own walking with the Lord. Now, one of the greatest drawbacks to our Christian life is reasoning out how we can somehow give or not give. But there's something about getting right with God that accounts in itself without your giving. We owe God at least 10% of our income, and we owe him all of our life.

[00:09:27] For Paul wrote, Oh, Father, I pray you'll stir our hearts today that we will be giving people, and we'll have your grace abundantly. For we thank you, Lord, that you have blessed us with all spiritual blessing.

[00:09:57] But you have blessed us with natural resources in order to advance your work here on the earth. Touch the hearts of those who are withholding from you. Cause them to see the folly of this, and rise up and become joyful givers. In Jesus' name, amen. Well, I'm very grateful for the mercy of God. I'm grateful for what the Lord has done many times, as I've responded to his word, and you can too.

[00:10:24] So whatever your financial situation is, let God give you provision for every need. That's his promise. And he is a good God. Now, this is what I want to say to you. That God really loves you. He knows about the burden of your heart. He knows about your unsaved loved ones. He knows about the sickness in your body. He knows about the distress in your marriage. God knows all these factors, and he wants to give a release.

[00:10:53] So I want to unite with you in a prayer of faith. Father, in Jesus' name. You said, if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven. And I will forgive their sins, and I will heal their land. Oh, Father, we're grateful we are your people, and we will love and serve you with all of our hearts, and do your blessed will.

[00:11:23] Thank you, Lord, for giving us, giving hearts, that we can please you, for it's more blessed to give than to receive. In Jesus' name, amen. You see, people, I have a great conviction that pleasing God is praising God. So will you join me, please? Let's simply lift our hearts and voices and praise him together. Praise you, Lord. Amen. Praise you, Lord. Amen.
