[00:00:00] And the Bible says, Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, into His courts with praise.
[00:00:06] Will you join me as we enter the courts of praise today by offering the Lord praise unto Him.
[00:00:13] Praise You Lord, Amen.
[00:00:43] Amen. Hallelujah.
[00:00:46] Well, that's our beginning of a life of victory and I want to help you today.
[00:00:52] Now, Michael O'Dell has presented the question in the opening of this program,
[00:00:57] How do you respond when a real crisis kicks in?
[00:01:01] Well, let me offer the definition of crisis.
[00:01:05] Quote,
[00:01:05] When life suddenly increases in pace, pressure and problems with no immediate resolution or relief in sight.
[00:01:15] I do ask you, what is your crisis?
[00:01:18] Is it your health, your finances or your employment?
[00:01:22] Is it a relationship or a long bout with depression?
[00:01:25] Is it an addiction you just can't seem to overcome?
[00:01:29] The question we face as Christ followers is not how to avoid crisis because we can't.
[00:01:36] As sure as you're hearing my voice today, your next crisis is brewing.
[00:01:42] But even in the midst of terrible crisis, there are proven answers that many of us have discovered that often work wonderfully for us.
[00:01:52] And I want to share some of those answers for you just now.
[00:01:55] I'm sure most of you are acquainted with the name of C.S. Lewis.
[00:02:00] C.S. Lewis is one of the most honored Christian authors of the last century.
[00:02:06] And here's a quotation from him,
[00:02:09] That people who praise the Lord most are those who enjoy life most.
[00:02:15] What a wonderful truth.
[00:02:17] And now, if you've read any of Mr. Lewis' excellent books,
[00:02:21] You read about his often crises he had in life.
[00:02:25] And he went on to say,
[00:02:27] The humblest and the same time the most balanced and capricious minds praise the Lord most,
[00:02:34] While the cranks, the misfits, and the malcontents praise the Lord least.
[00:02:39] Well, those are good quotations from Mr. Lewis.
[00:02:43] And now here's a quotation from the man David.
[00:02:46] David said in Psalm 34-1,
[00:02:50] I will bless the Lord at all times.
[00:02:53] His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
[00:02:56] To effectively learn to overcome crisis,
[00:03:00] David declared we must praise the Lord when?
[00:03:03] At all times.
[00:03:05] Up times.
[00:03:06] Down times.
[00:03:08] Dark times.
[00:03:09] Bright times.
[00:03:10] Yes, it's at all times we are to praise the Lord.
[00:03:14] Another great man of God was Charles Spurgeon, the beloved pastor in London.
[00:03:20] Dr. Spurgeon wrote,
[00:03:22] Among all the joys of earth, and I shall not depreciate them,
[00:03:26] There is no joy comparable to that of praising the Lord.
[00:03:31] He went on to say,
[00:03:32] This is my all in all, to praise you, my Lord, as long as I have my being.
[00:03:38] Now, if you have read anything of Charles Spurgeon, you know he too was a man who had some deep crisis.
[00:03:46] And one more timely declaration of Mr. Spurgeon.
[00:03:50] He said,
[00:03:51] He said,
[00:04:04] Well, I believe these are very valid statements that I want to help you today to overcome in the crisis of your life.
[00:04:14] Now, I have just recently been on the national television program called It's Supernatural.
[00:04:22] I was interviewed by Sid Roth.
[00:04:25] And before I went on the program, maybe in the weeks ahead, he and his staff had called me on different occasions.
[00:04:34] And Mr. Sid Roth talked to me about an hour and a half,
[00:04:40] wanting to know all the information he would be able to convey on his program.
[00:04:44] And the thing he wanted to emphasize was, How about I'd overcome crisis in my life too?
[00:04:52] And of course, he wanted to know about how I was kidnapped at age 11.
[00:04:57] And that was before I was saved.
[00:04:59] I was kidnapped and driven hundreds of miles from my home,
[00:05:04] while the man went on a drunken binge of drinking just straight whiskey for 24 hours without stopping.
[00:05:11] And the more the man drank, the crazier he was driving brought great fear to my heart.
[00:05:17] I can never forget how I laid my head on the dashboard and entered into fervent prayer quietly,
[00:05:24] asking God to take me back home.
[00:05:27] Praise God it happened.
[00:05:29] For it was only the second morning after the kidnapping,
[00:05:34] this man pulled off the highway and passed out.
[00:05:38] A woman happened by and saw the scene and called my school principal to pass a message on to my parents about where I was.
[00:05:49] And my dear parents drove nonstop.
[00:05:52] There was hundreds of miles to pick me up that day.
[00:05:55] And that was an event that pushed my life towards salvation at age 12.
[00:06:00] So what became as a crisis became as a victory because of God's grace.
[00:06:06] And on the telecast, it's supernatural.
[00:06:11] I shared about how God supernaturally called me to become a preacher.
[00:06:16] It was a real crisis because I had to encounter my dad in his opposition to the idea of me becoming a preacher.
[00:06:24] And it was that night when I spent all night with the Lord.
[00:06:28] Why?
[00:06:29] How the Holy Spirit ministered to me.
[00:06:31] And he gave me a call to preach.
[00:06:34] I said, I know my father would be very opposed to that.
[00:06:39] And when I heard him up that next morning, I went down and I told him that God had called me to become a preacher.
[00:06:45] But my father said, Don, you have always been shy and you have a speech impediment, son.
[00:06:52] I don't believe you'll ever be a minister.
[00:06:54] Well, his scowling me and putting me down was very hurtful.
[00:06:59] But in that moment, I knew I could have believed my father's report.
[00:07:03] But however, because I spent all night with my heavenly father, I replied to him, Dad, I know the Lord has called me and I'll be a preacher.
[00:07:13] That was a crisis indeed.
[00:07:15] Now, I see I was disappointed by the rejection of my father, but God helped me to overcome.
[00:07:21] They asked me on the telecast, How did I overcome my speech impediment?
[00:07:27] And I shared briefly how that I took three scriptures that helped me.
[00:07:33] Exodus 4.12
[00:07:34] God said, Now therefore go and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you should say.
[00:07:40] In 2 Samuel 26.3
[00:07:43] The spirit of the Lord spake by me and his word was in my tongue.
[00:07:47] This to me meant that I must memorize scriptures to have the word of God in my tongue.
[00:07:53] And of course, it was then that I took Philippians 4.13 to become my life verse.
[00:07:59] I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
[00:08:03] These words enable me to become a can-do person.
[00:08:07] And when I started preaching in those country Baptist churches, I would almost memorize my message,
[00:08:13] though I could be sure to speak without mumbling and stumbling.
[00:08:16] And it was the combination of the word of God I applied to my problems and the infilling of the Holy Spirit
[00:08:23] that enabled me to overcome the crisis in my life of accepting God's call to preach.
[00:08:29] And of course, the rest is history.
[00:08:32] Thousands and thousands of radio messages and ministry in 56 nations.
[00:08:38] Thank God my speech impediment was healed. Hallelujah.
[00:08:43] And of course, another big crisis that came was the fact that my precious mother had a very severe health condition.
[00:08:51] She was ill, and we considered her a semi-invalid.
[00:08:57] Surgery had failed.
[00:08:59] And I then heard from friends of mine that a man of God, William Freeman, was in Portland, Oregon,
[00:09:06] having meetings, and he was anointed as a healing evangelist.
[00:09:11] Very reluctantly, my unsaved parents agreed to go with me to Portland to attend.
[00:09:16] And it was on the second night of those meetings that my mother was saved.
[00:09:21] That's the greatest miracle of overcoming a crisis of the lack of salvation for my dear family.
[00:09:29] But that, thank God, that began to change.
[00:09:31] And the third night of that meeting, she was healed miraculously.
[00:09:36] Her miracle was so great that my father was touched deeply,
[00:09:40] and he returned to the meeting and received Jesus as well.
[00:09:44] Well, you talk about crisis.
[00:09:47] Those were enormous crisis in my young life, and I'm grateful that I can share that with you.
[00:09:53] Well, I'll share with you further about God's grace, about crisis living.
[00:09:59] And I want to just give you the assurance that I've said to you that the power of praise is a real antidote to all kinds of crisis.
[00:10:09] You see, I can say it without hesitation that praise will bring the answer for your crisis.
[00:10:16] Health, prosperity, salvation, safety, all these things are prime targets of the enemy.
[00:10:23] And there is much as being lost or stolen from you can be restored as you praise the Lord sincerely.
[00:10:31] And you can receive miraculous and instantaneous healing as my mother did.
[00:10:36] You can have the bondage of poverty broken over your life.
[00:10:40] You can experience deliverance from harmful habits.
[00:10:43] Thank God you can triumph over every strategy of the devil.
[00:10:47] And you can regain all that the enemy has stolen.
[00:10:51] And you can win life's battles to overcome crisis.
[00:10:55] Yes, I say praise will bring deliverance.
[00:10:58] It can bring life where there is death, freedom where there is bondage, and divine joy where there is sorrow.
[00:11:04] So make us your objective to praise God at all times, good times and bad times in all circumstances.
[00:11:12] And Father, I pray now for every person who is victimized by crisis is overwhelming.
[00:11:19] May this be the day of their liberation in Jesus name.
[00:11:23] Amen.
[00:11:24] Well, I want to invite you again to join me.
[00:11:27] Let's say praise the Lord.
[00:11:30] Amen.
[00:11:31] Praise the Lord.
[00:11:32] Amen.
[00:11:34] What'sVIocaret.
[00:11:35] How much love to be is a saint that has been restored?
[00:11:36] How much love to be holy without death, and God.
[00:11:36] Amen.
[00:11:37] Sorry, I am.
[00:11:39] Thank you.
[00:11:40] Oh, I don't know why.
[00:11:42] I will sing without death, but may I do anymore.
[00:11:48] Walk this simple impulse.
[00:11:49] True means that, all theический over реклам made it.
[00:11:56] Only Romania breaks my soul's will beouched.
[00:11:59] Hallelujah.
[00:12:01] What comes anywhere like putting upon healing is aolate.
[00:12:01] None of a слишком lowly until red harus more prevalent.
[00:12:01] But if I may be doing such이나 beats moto.
[00:12:02] Thank you.
