010 - Breakthrough Miracle Prayers #2 - Don Gossett

[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

[00:00:04] [SPEAKER_00]: As we continue our study in the fourth chapter of the book of Acts,

[00:00:09] [SPEAKER_00]: we come to the decision of the Sanhedrin officials.

[00:00:12] [SPEAKER_00]: They forbade Peter and John for ever speaking the name of Jesus again.

[00:00:18] [SPEAKER_00]: They had recognized the wonderful working of a breakthrough miracle prayer for the man at the gate beautiful

[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_00]: and they said, No more. You cannot do this again.

[00:00:30] [SPEAKER_00]: And they made it very clear in these words,

[00:00:33] [SPEAKER_00]: but thank God the men of God were not dismayed.

[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_00]: That Peter said, We cannot but speak the things that we have seen and heard.

[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_00]: That is, we're going to continue to pray breakthrough miracle prayers because this is what Jesus gave us the authority.

[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Again and again in his word whatsoever you shall ask in my name

[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_00]: that will I do the Father maybe glorified in the Son.

[00:00:57] [SPEAKER_00]: If you shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.

[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_00]: And on and on those wonderful seven times where Jesus gave promise and command for us

[00:01:06] [SPEAKER_00]: to pray breakthrough miracle prayers by speaking the name of Jesus.

[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_00]: You know when I consider what God has been pleased to do,

[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I've had the delight of coming here to this microphone

[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_00]: and sharing with you exciting letters of testimony as to what the Lord has done and is doing.

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_00]: So God wants to confirm his word today on your behalf with supernatural signs following.

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_00]: In Acts 421 we read this word that all men glorified God for that which was done.

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you when we have breakthrough miracle prayers answered,

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_00]: thank God we have occasion to rejoice and give God glory.

[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_00]: It's like giving him glory is the only motivation.

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_00]: And when I talk about the real miracles of our master today,

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_00]: I want to make this statement.

[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_00]: My mind goes back to many, many great and glorious services all over the world

[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_00]: where I have seen the Lord stretch forth his hand to grant supernatural, phenomenal miracles.

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Many of you hearing me just now, you have been a witness to these things,

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_00]: how what the Lord has done and these miracles always cause people to rejoice and glorify God.

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes I love to pray for the sick.

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I love to pray breakthrough miracle prayers for family members

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_00]: and see the Lord work in mighty miracles.

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_00]: It sets the atmospheric glow with the nearness of heaven's manifest power.

[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_00]: I praise God.

[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I say I praise God.

[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_00]: He does wonders today just as he did long ago.

[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Now here in the fourth chapter of Acts,

[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_00]: read how the Christians met together.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_00]: It says in one accord,

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_00]: they dared to ask for continued breakthrough miracles.

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_00]: This was what was on their hearts as it were,

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_00]: that they would have boldness to speak the word,

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_00]: boldness to pray a miracle working prayer.

[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_00]: And I want to assure you that signs and wonders are still available for you,

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_00]: for your loved ones, for your needs.

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_00]: And so honor the name of Jesus.

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_00]: The name of every name.

[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_00]: God has highly exalted him

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_00]: and given him the name of every name

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_00]: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow.

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_00]: That's why we come here with such confidence

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_00]: to know that we can pray breakthrough miracle prayers.

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_00]: You can, I can, because the divine account.

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Now here they came to prayer the disciples

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_00]: in the fourth chapter of Acts, verse 29.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_00]: And now Lord grant to us your servants

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_00]: that with all boldness who may speak your word

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_00]: by stretching forth your hand to heal

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_00]: and the signs and wonders may be done in Jesus' name.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Praise God.

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_00]: He gives us this boldness.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_00]: It comes from above by the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_00]: So my dear friend,

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_00]: read the fourth chapter of Acts.

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Tell you thoroughly that it relived the days

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_00]: of Peter and John in your heart

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_00]: and the early Christians.

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's be assured that this was God's pattern

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_00]: for breakthrough miracle prayers back in the book of Acts

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_00]: and we still had the same need in this day

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_00]: to be able to properly and scripturally pray

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_00]: breakthrough miracle prayers.

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Keep those three words on your heart and mind.

[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Breakthrough miracle prayers.

[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_00]: That's what praying in the image Jesus will accomplish

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_00]: as he was there in the fourth chapter of Acts.

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_00]: And thank God those upon your heart, their loss may be saved.

[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Those that are sick may be healed.

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_00]: And I thank God that this isn't just a fantasy reading

[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_00]: for the fourth chapter of Acts.

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_00]: It's not something just to be enjoyed for the moment.

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_00]: No, we can have what they had.

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_00]: We can absolutely be filled with the Spirit as they were.

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_00]: We can speak the name of Jesus as they did

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_00]: and we can pray these breakthrough miracle prayers

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_00]: that God will minister to you and to me.

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_00]: So I pray Father, grant boldness to each of us as your servants

[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_00]: that we can open our mouth and heart and speak your word

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_00]: and speak the name of Jesus. Hallelujah.

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, we want to proclaim this greatest message in Heaven and Earth

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_00]: the Gospel of Christ, the power of God,

[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_00]: the salvation to everyone who believes.

[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Now, on this broadcast I'm speaking concerning

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_00]: the name above every name, the name of Jesus.

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_00]: I have often shared on this subject from time to time

[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_00]: but however this is one of the truths I cannot overemphasize.

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_00]: And in the fourth chapter of Acts, when we study this together

[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_00]: we'll discover afresh the name of Jesus has tremendous importance.

[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_00]: It's the key to breakthrough miracle prayers.

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_00]: You'll recall that on that day Peter and John met the lame man.

[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_00]: They ministered to him on this wise, Acts 3-6.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_00]: They simply said, Severing gold have I none

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_00]: but such as I have give I be in the name of Jesus Christ

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_00]: as the masses rise up and walk and praise God

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_00]: that man went his way walking, leaping and praising God.

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_00]: It was indeed a breakthrough miracle prayer

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_00]: for that poor man who had set there a beggar all of his life.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, when the people gathered about to inquire

[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_00]: how this miracle took place,

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Peter revealed the secret of a breakthrough miracle prayer.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_00]: He said in Acts 3-16, be it known unto you all

[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_00]: in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, whom God raised from the dead

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_00]: even before by his power as this man be made whole.

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Now we read then of course the result way back in the book of Acts.

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Five thousand men were converted by the simple witness

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_00]: to this miracle that brought the gospel real to them.

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Peter preached the message.

[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_00]: However, then Peter and John were arrested by the Sanhedrin.

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_00]: They were brought before these legal officials

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_00]: and they were asked the question

[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_00]: but what power about what name have you done this?

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Peter replied that be it known as you

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_00]: in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, this man is for you whole.

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_00]: And then Peter went on to say in Acts 4-12,

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_00]: neither is there salvation in the other,

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_00]: for there is none of the name under heaven

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_00]: given among men whereby we must be saved.

[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, hear me please, it's the name of Jesus

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_00]: by which we are saved, which we are healed,

[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_00]: which we have breakthrough miracle prayers,

[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_00]: which we cast out demons.

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_00]: All is done by the imperial name of Jesus.

[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_00]: So honor his name.

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_00]: The best known verse in the 4th chapter of Acts,

[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_00]: of course I think is the verse 12 where it says

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_00]: his name, the name of Jesus, the name only

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_00]: by which we can be saved.

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's a great story how the men of the Sanhedrin

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_00]: conferred together and they asked the question

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_00]: what are we going to do about Peter and John?

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_00]: In verse 17 gives the answer of their verdict.

[00:08:09] [SPEAKER_00]: So let's straightly threaten them

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_00]: that they speak his forth to no man this name

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_00]: and they called Peter and John

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_00]: and they commanded them not to speak at all

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_00]: nor teach in the name of Jesus,

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_00]: oh how they feared his name,

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_00]: the name of the living Son of God.

[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_00]: So please notice how these men

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_00]: were afraid of the name of Jesus, these authorities.

[00:08:31] [SPEAKER_00]: They knew in this name 5,000 men

[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_00]: had received Christ as Savior and Lord

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_00]: and they knew the nature of God's mighty working

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_00]: that God had done there to get beautiful.

[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_00]: And I want to assure you that you and I today

[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_00]: can still employ the name of Jesus.

[00:08:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you my friend, can pray breakthrough

[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_00]: miracle prayers when you pray in the name of Jesus Christ.

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_00]: I read all those great promises in the Gospel of John.

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Seven different times Jesus said the same

[00:09:01] [SPEAKER_00]: virtual truth that you ask in Jesus' name.

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Now if the devil can keep you as God's child

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_00]: from exercising your authority in the name of Jesus,

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_00]: well the devil has whipped you.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think one of the most deceitful devices of Satan

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_00]: is to keep you as a child of God

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_00]: from exercising boldly the authority

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_00]: in the name of Jesus.

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Friend, you have authority.

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Authority means everything

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_00]: and you can use the name of Jesus

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_00]: in every phase of your life

[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_00]: for he says whether therefore you either drink

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_00]: whatsoever you do, do all the glory of God

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_00]: and whatsoever you ask in my name I'll do it.

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_00]: So begin to employ.

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I say employ by the authority of the Holy Spirit

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_00]: and the ability of God,

[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_00]: breakthrough miracle prayers in every phase of your life.
