Children are a blessing from the Lord, a divine gift that lights up our lives. The Bible speaks vividly about this blessing throughout its pages. In Psalms 127:3, The Bible states, "Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him." This verse encapsulates the divine mindset that every child is a cherished reward, an inheritance that transcends the material.
The connection between God's Blessings and the gift of children is beautifully painted in Genesis 33:5. Esau asks Jacob, "Who are these with you?" Jacob answers, "They are the children God has graciously given your servant." Here, children are directly attributed to God’s grace, portraying them as sacred gifts entrusted to us. This perspective calls us to cherish and honor our young ones as carriers of God's joy and potential.
In Proverbs 22:6, the wisdom of guiding these blessings of children well is emphasized: "Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it." Within this guidance lies a profound responsibility, as nurturing these heavenly gifts with love and wisdom is essential to their flourishing and to the glory of God whom they reflect.
