From the moment people enter the workforce, the world often teaches them to gather resources, display achievements, compete, consume, and build a personal kingdom. But Jesus warned in Matthew 6 that earthly treasure is temporary. Moth, rust, thieves, time, and eternity reveal the weakness of everything built only for this world.
This teaching contrasts two empires: the personal kingdom built by sight, fear, greed, control, and temporary appearances, and God’s Kingdom built by faith, humility, obedience, generosity, truth, evangelism, and eternal purpose. The video also explains the difference between the “container model” of selfish accumulation and the “conduit model” of letting God’s blessings flow through your life to help others.
Genesis 12:2 reveals the heart of blessing: God blesses His people so they can become a blessing. Matthew 6:33 gives the governing priority: seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. When that priority is settled, money, ambition, influence, and opportunity bow to divine assignment.
The question is not simply, “How much can I gain for myself?” The better question is, “Lord, how can what You have placed in my hands help more people know Jesus Christ?”
