The Faithclip Christian podcast makes a great daily devotional.
Stealing From God. This is Robert Woeger. Do you know that God is so concerned about how you conduct your life? He does not want you to steal from any person, from a business, from the government, or from Him.
He delights when you love Him with all of your heart and you seek Him diligently. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. But sin is separation from God.
And one of those things that causes you and I to sin, is when we steal from God, or steal from any person, or from a business, or from a government, or from whoever. Stealing makes you a thief, and God is very clear about that He cannot maintain a relationship with you, if you're stealing, and you haven't repented of your sins. So today repent of your sins.
But you might say, Robert, I don't steal. Every moment of every day is an opportunity to have faith in God. And if you choose with any moment of any day to be distracted by the world, to love the world, to love money, to chase after things that are not pleasing to God, then you're stealing from God.
Your time belongs to God. Your energy belongs to God. Your health belongs to God.
Your words belong to God. Be careful with every word that comes out of your mouth. God is not mocked.
He watches over and sees everything you do, everything you say. So start pleasing God today, and stop stealing from God. Do you know many years ago God spoke to me clearly about the fact that He cannot receive worship from Christians who use stolen Christian music.
That includes MP3 or other audios or videos. Many Christians pirate or steal or copy MP3 files, audio files, Christian music files, and secular music files. All of it is stealing!
The copyright law is clear, and God expects us to obey the laws of the land that are legal and that line up with His Word. So because the law gives copyright owners, usually authors or publishing companies, the legal right to be paid for their work. If we choose to copy things without paying for them, we are stealing from companies, people, what is rightfully theirs.
And God is not pleased. He considers you a thief. He cannot receive your worship if you're trying to worship Him with stolen Christian music.
You need to repent, get rid of the stolen music or stolen things, and instead pay for the things that you want to use on a regular basis. Honor God through the music that you choose to worship Him with, and show Him in every way of your life, that you don't want to steal from Him or steal from others. So stop stealing from God, and turn over every moment to Him, so that He can direct your path, and that He can accomplish the things He destined to accomplish through you in life.
Your time is valuable. Don't waste it. Don't let the enemy steal it.
And instead, honor God with your life, your time, and your faithfulness. God bless you!
